Beds come with log wood side rails. Beds also include 3 log support rails for the mattress to rest on. King and Queen support rails have an added log foot in the center for added support.

It's normal for all cedar log furniture to endure the natural process of checking
as the wood "seasons".
 Checking
occurs as a wooden log releases moisture across or through the annual
growth rings. It does not affect the structural performance or integrity
of the wood. All logs which contain the heart of the tree will develop
lengthwise cracks or checks. The check never goes deeper than the heart. |

Please fix above errors. 
I rated the bed as a three. Although I like the look of the assembled product and it seems sturdy, the assembly was a bit of a nightmare due to quality control issues. I bought two beds. In both cases the holes for the dowel ends were off by as much as an inch, more than warping could account for. Fortunately, a had the tools on hand to shave the dowels down to force a fit. Tip: Assembly is a two person job. The wood is heavy.
